Gathering Music: #411 “God is Here Today”
Welcome and Announcements
Prelude: “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace” arr. Jane Holstein
* Call to Worship
God has lavished us with every perfect gift from above.
And called us to living intimacy through the Beloved One, Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
* Prayer of the Day
Lord God, who brings us mornings and beginnings, touch our heart to hear your call today. Grant us faith to rely on your extraordinary power in us that the life of Jesus may be made visible as we glorify you alone. Amen.
* Hymn of Praise: #14 “For the Beauty of the Earth”
* Invitation to Healing
Let us confess our sins to our loving God who calls us close through our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ our Lord.
* Prayer of Wholeness
Loving, righteous God, you have called us to yourself, but we have gone away. Forgetting your living Word, we cling to dead traditions. Deceiving ourselves, we abandon your commandments. Hypocrites, we honor you with our lips while our hearts are far from you. Cleanse our hearts from evil intentions; cleanse our tongues from evil words so that our worship may be pure and undefiled and we may live with you in love for others. Amen. Please continue in silent prayer
* Kyrie: #437 “You Are the Lord, Giver of Mercy”
* Assurance and Passing of the Peace
Friends, believe this Good News: God is One and God is Three – Love constantly flowing in, out, and through; the gift of Jesus Christ for me and for you. For this we say: Thanks be to God!
Since God has loved us through Christ, let us love one another. The Lord be with you!
And also with you!
Please share a sign of peace with those with whom you are worshiping.

Light behind all Lights, there is no variation or shadow due to change in you. Let your Spirit illumine our hearts through your holy Word, turning us from the emptiness of our human traditions to the fullness of life in the Beloved One, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Minute for Mission
Invitation to Present our Offerings
Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights. Filled by God’s generosity, let us offer our gifts with gladness through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Offertory: “Dedication” by Enrique Granados
Praise God from whom all blessing flow!
Praise Christ all creatures here below!
Praise Holy Spirit evermore!
Praise Triune God whom we adore! Amen!
* Prayer of Thanksgiving/Dedication
Living God, thank you for your gifts of life – fragrant flowers, fruitful vines, singing creatures, and or own lives, renewed in Christ. Let your grace infuse the gifts we offer with life-giving power for those in need. We pray all this in the name of Christ our Lord, who taught his disciples to pray, saying:
* The Lord’s Prayer “…debts…debtors…” Hymnal p. 35
* Closing Hymn: #697 “Take My Life”
Listen to the life-giving words of the Beloved One, Jesus Christ our Lord! Look into God’s perfect law of liberty and persevere in God’s blessing! Live in God’s love, caring for those in need from a heart filled and blessed by the power of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God has blessed you forever with every perfect gift from above, freeing you to rise and live in God’s embrace.

Questions for Reflection
How can we know the difference between human tradition and the commandments of God? How can we know that we serve God from the heart?
Household Prayer: Morning
Help me walk blamelessly and do what is right, to speak the truth in love, to avoid gossip and slander, and do good to all I meet, that I may abide in your presence and dwell in fellowship with the Holy Trinity. Amen.
Household Prayer: Evening
Lord, you have been my light this day. As evening comes, be my light in the darkness. With meekness I welcome the word you have implanted in my heart, and with confidence I claim the power of salvation in Jesus Christ. And let me rest from my labors, confident that in you there is no shadow of fear. Amen.
